First ever release!
This project has been in the works for some time now, and it's finally at a point that I feel is playable! Although there's still a lot more to be done, the general direction and feel of the game has been narrowed down.
I will be releasing (or already released) a video devlog to mark this version's release as well, with more details about what's to come next, but here's the quick rundown:
CURRENT FEATURES:
- 4/16 playable characters with corresponding Biomes are in the game!
- 2 enemy types exist, at least 3 more to come!
- 8/32 weapons are in the game, 2 weapons per Biome!
- Minibosses trigger upon unlocking a new Biome, but I think I'll change that in later updates
- Some sound effects
UPCOMING FEATURES:
- More enemy types!
- More characters!
- More weapons!
- Localized Minigames!
- Full Bossfights!
- More sounds and music!
EVENTUAL ADDITIONS:
- Multiplayer Support!
- Different Gamemodes!
- Hats?
I'm sure there will be many other changes and additions not mentioned here, but the core gameplay is definitely settled. I'm keeping the scope of the game to a manageable level for my own sanity, but at the same time I want to leave many mechanics open-ended to leave myself room to innovate. Who knows where we'll end up at the end, stay tuned!
